Heidi Allen, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an office located in beautiful rural Missouri in Farmington. She has been working in social services for over ten years. She works with children, young adults, individuals and families using an eclectic approach tailored to the unique needs of each new client. Heidi has over 10 years of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients, including both long-term and brief interventions. Areas of expertise include: Children and adolescents with behavioral and sexual issues; Children and adults with anxiety and depression; Relationship challenges: couples and families; Life stresses and next steps; and working with sexual and criminal offenders.
Heidi graduated from the University of Missouri, St. Louis with her Master’s Degree in Social Work with an emphasis on Nonprofit Management and Leadership. Heidi is continuously seeking to enhance her skills and broaden her education. Heidi has engaged in advanced training in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). She is fully trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and working towards certification. Heidi is skilled in Conflict Resolution and Mediation. She has completed the 40 hour training that meets the mediation training requirement for Missouri Supreme Court Rule 17 for general civil mediators and Rule 88 for family mediators. Heidi has provided services for individuals and groups both inpatient and outpatient, as well as done crisis intervention in an ER, private practice, and long-term therapy within a maximum-security facility.
